radio question...

hey i was to flash just a different radio the one with my rom just doesn't work for me i don't get any reboots or anything just a terrible connection...but i am not sure how to just flash the radio...probably a silly question but this is my first droid phone and i don't want to do something wrong and mess my phone up.
