Radio thing

Can someone give a quick rundown of this? I can't seem to find a clear answer. the only phone I've had is the OG droid and once you rooted that it was just a matter of loading roms. But with the TB it seems there is a lot more to it with this Radio stuff.

I am following the tutorial stickied up top using ADB....... do I need to update a radio after I complete that process or does it depend on the ROM? so each time I load a ROM I would have to load a radio?

I don't remember specifically... it's been a while... but I believe when you root your phone it will revert your radio back to a previous version. Your radio will not change when you flash a ROM... it will stay with that same version. The biggest thing with Radio is that the Froyo version will not work in a Gingerbread ROM... and vise versa.

Personally I like the Gingerbread ROMs, so after I loaded the newest MR2 (1.39.00.0629r) Radio a few weeks ago I have not had to change Radios even though I've loaded several ROMs. However, if I decide to go to a Froyo ROM I would have to update my radio to a Froyo Radio.
