Radio transmitter capability

I was just wondering if the radio transmitters that I've seen used on mp3 players to broadcast your library through your car's radio were compatible for the Droid. I've never actually used one so I have no idea how they connect to the device (USB, 3.5mm, etc.) so I really have no idea, but I'd love to get one for my Droid if they work. Anyone know? Thanks

THey connect to the 3.5 mm headset jack and will work just fine. The quality of the audio isn't the greatest and I've experienced interference issues in the urban area that I live in.

Thanks. Are the interfernce issues just when using it with the Droid, or is that a general problem with the transmitters?

I've had this happen with several devices. If you read some of the reviews here, you'll get an idea of most of the pro's and con's.

You might try Bluetooth to transmit music to your car speakers. I use the Droid with the Motorola T505.

I use one of those tape cassette things with a 3.5mm plug and cord. If you have a tape deck these work great. You can pick one up from WalMart for about ten bucks.

If you have an AUX input, you can just get a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cord and plug your MP3/Droid directly to it

I doint have a Droid yet, but this has worked great on several phones/MP3 players.

Good Luck!
