Radios on this device?

I was looking through the Wikipedia page for the GS3, and I see that the Verizon variant does not have any GSM radios. How, then, does this device access GSM networks in its "global" mode?

Trying to learn about LTE bands, radios, frequencies, etc., so any insight is much appreciated!

I think I've found the answer to my own question. It looks like this device does in fact have a GSM radio and I was either looking at the wrong section of the Wikipedia entry or it was missing this info.
