Random 4G Antenna Activation

Need some help, I've done some searching and I haven't found a solution to this annoying problem.

At random times my 4G antenna will activate, usually during my commute to and from work and it's got me perplexed. I haven't had any recent updates to the phone and I haven't downloaded any apps that have access to the 4G antenna. This started happening about 2 weeks ago I think, It's hard to tell because it will also randomly switch off of the 4G service. It's more just an annoyance than a serious issue. I'm curious if anyone has had this issue or might be able to provide a solution.

You have the new update, which connects to 4G automatically. It's the connection optimizer or whatever they call it. Here is more info:
