Random app crashes

Recently, apps that I'm not even using are coming up with the pop-up that they have stopped. What would cause this? I got lollipop a few days ago. I cleared the cache partition the day of the install. Any guesses? Phone is still smooth and rarely does an app that I am actually using do this. It literally is apps that aren't even in the recent apps page. Puzzling.

Even though you did a cache clear, there are still probably some framework apps that need to be erased. The only way to do that is a factory reset.

I did a few cache clears and a few reboots before I thought things were going good.
