Random app on unlock

When I unlock my phone, as often as not, I'll get the Messages or Internet apps. I don't use either - I use Google Voice and Chrome, respectively. So why do these always come up, and is there anything I can do to prevent it?

Your not sliding up one of the 4 apps at the bottom of the lock screen when you unlock your phone are you?

If it's advertising, it could been caused by a recently installed or updateted app on your phone.

Install the analyzer app 'Ad Network Detector' by Lookout and let it scan your phone.
