Random Factory Reset?

So my Aunt was trying to upload pics to facebook when her phone ran out of batteries. As usual, she plugged it it only to see the screen saying restoring to factory settings. I tried to restore her phone with Lookout Mobile Security, but it didn't work for some reason. Any reason why it did this and how to fix it? This is urgent!!!

seems like it couldve been corrupted that sounds weird random resets are normal but factory resets?

Don't have a fix for you, but the same thing happened to me on New Year's Eve...and it PISSED ME OFF. Nothing you can do I don't think, sorry.
