random notification

Can anyone tell me why I get a random notification sound but when I check there is no notification? It happens 4 or 5 times a day with no pattern to when it happens.

Is it the default notification tone, or something different? Do you have Yahoo Mail installed? This is a relatively common cause for notification tones without a notification.

Its the default notification and not using yahoo.

Do you have NFC on?

No. Everything off except WiFi and GPS.
