Random notification

I think I found what has been giving me fits. Day after I got my phone I started hearing random notification sounds. Look at phone and nothing showing up. Checked on here and found others with similar issues and tried multiple things with no luck. By chance I took off my Incipio flip cover and no more random notification sounds. Not sure if the magnetic closure had some effect on the nfc or not. So fingers crossed I don't hear any more and don't drop my phone till my new case comes in.
