is this after the OTA from verizon? I have been seeing reports of issues with rebooting and general bad proformance. Verizon has been having users do a hard reset and that can help. but it may be an issue with a corrupted download file, if your savy you can try to flash the update again or have it replaced.

I'm having the same issues after the OTA. My phone is also getting blazing hot and draining the battery. I haven't found an exact culprit, though it seems the screen likes to randomly come on when there is some kind of alarm/app change/notice (like an android os one of some sort maybe but not one I set) and I saw that the MotoBlur stuff was chomping the battery a bit, so I killed my MotoCast ID seeing as I use it not-at-all anyway. I really despise the hard reset answer. Grrrrrrr.....

Ok, well hopefully I'm not jinxing myself here, but with all the reboots today (seriously they were happening like every 20-30 minutes), now that I've wiped the cache, my phone booted up, isn't hot and doesn't seem to be flipping out now. Before, it would get hot/stay hot and was just all over the place. I think with the ICS update they didn't (or didn't totally/properly) wipe the cache in the upgrade process. Here are the steps...see if it works for you too.

Step 1: Power off your phone completely.

Step 2: Press and hold the Power, Volume Up, and Volume Down keys (at the same time) until the bootloader screen comes up.

Step 3: Volume Down to Recovery and then use Volume Up to select it.

Step 4: When the "Dead Android" (laying on his back) with the the Red Triangle in the chest appears push the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously.

Step 5: Scroll to wipe cache partition and push the power button.

Step 6: Wait for it to finish wiping the cache and then select Reboot by pushing the power button.

Best instructions I've seen. I had to figure out what buttons to press to get there because all instructions I read left the same ones out like some sort of conspiracy.
