This happened to me when I set FriendStream to update every hour. When I removed the auto-sync my phone has been fine. Are you using Friend Stream by chance?

Not sure. I dont have it anywhere but the apps page but it could still be running somewhere. I know I dont use it. I will try the auto sync also. Thanks, I will let you know.Do I need to disable the friendstream?

Whats the difference between background data sync and auto sync?

For me it was the "always-on data" setting. I turned that off from the battery tips, and constantly was rebooting. Once I turned it back on, the rebooting stopped. Try that
