Random ringtones/notification sounds?

Only weird thing I have noticed about my GNex is that sometimes I will hear my ringtone but it cuts short then starts over again 2 or 3 times but when I check the phone there wasn't any call or messages. I have also heard the phone ring but to check to the same outcome. Today I just got a text but while the notification sound was sounding my ringtone started too. Could this be due to an app I installed like Light Flow or Volume+? Is anyone else have this happen?

i've encountered something similar. occasionally when i put my phone on the table after using, i get some unidentifiable notification sounds. it persists for about 5-7 seconds and then stops. I'm not able to replicate this consistently but it does happen pretty frequently.

so far i've not heard of anyone else reporting a similar issue.

i'm wondering if its warning me that the surface i laid it on isn't horizontal? or i've shaken the phone or something??

i encountered random sounds too. but only when i put the phone down on the table, this happens occasionally and I've not been able to replicate the behaviour. when i unlock the phone after hearing the random sound, there's no notification at all.

has anyone else encountered something similar?:-\
