Same here, it's the biggest thing I love about Android.

The only thing I can see that can compete with it is the N7.

Eh, I dunno. Hoping it will be, though. As much as I don't like Apple, all the devices I've bought from them over the years have had 0 defects in build quality. I just don't want to live in fear that a device I saved up quite a while for will just crack one day or its screen will slowly pop itself out. I still got about a week before return period runs out to think this over, so we'll see how things turn out. Boy oh boy, I sure am in a pickle. And that would be priceless

I have had my share of apple devices, they are built better than any plastic android phones. I would take Apple hardware and android OS and be set. My daughter washed her ipod and dried it. It still workes two years later...

id just keep returning the N7 until i got a good one. seems like theyre rushing them out man, google dont make profit from the device but it doesnt look good for their reputation

gingerbread maybe, but that isn't worth a hack. I want a iPhone 5 with Jelly bean! That would be epic....then I would turn the screen on and realize how small it is and that amoled contrast is missing....thank you Samsung for getting it right

Holy crap. My N7 just took a 5' fall like a champ, no cracks or dings. And those are a possibility too, I was looking at them before I bought my N7.

The screen seems to be going back and forth... I never noticed anything til my friend said his screen was lopsided (aka screen lift) and when I checked, mine felt lifted too. Maybe my mind is playing tricks on me, cause prior to today my screen was fine. And whenever I think of returning it, it seems to fix itself. Then when I decide to keep it, it starts lifting. I dunno about the insurance thing, I never bothered with that stuff.

Man, today was unbelievably stressful, lost my pencil bag with my favorite pen & calculator, had a bad headache, and now my N7 has screen lift. /end rant

I think I need a good night's sleep... night all.

Oops!

The screen is at level/slightly rising above the bezel on the left side, while on the right it's still below the bezel. I'm gonna try the clamp method and hope it works... crossing my fingers

Better fix that's 100% guaranteed to work and won't void your warranty. Buy some loctite electronics thread adhesive from best buy for 2 bucks, remove the 3 screws on the loose side of the screen, apply loctite and then screw them back in. The screen lift is caused by poorly applied/melted thread adhesive during manufacture. This fix takes like 2 minutes and works every time. My N7 was perfect but I've fixed 2 that I bought for friends and everyone on XDA that did this said that it worked great for them as well.

I've seen plenty of iDevices with defects. A quick Google search will show you that Apple products have just as many problems with build quality as any Android manufacturer.

I buy a new phone every 4-6 months....so far Motorola, Apple and Samsung have not disappointed, besides the bionic, Droid X, Samsung fascinate, and some other android devices. The OS is awesome, but they slap it on some cheep imported crap....always have and hopefully always wont.
All my Apple products just go beyond a few years and keep going. They are built like a fine watch, and standing next to that plastic Walmart watch, who can argue that? Metro or not. The latest nexus LG leak is just sad. What and old design, but apple is doing it so why not Google? Sorry, Apple devices have an extremely higher resale value for a reason, and it has NOTHING to do with the OS.

Best the iPhone in opening a couple apps and trading pictures

Absolutely destroyed Siri with Google now. Beat it in finding pictures, answers, setting alarms, getting directions. Everything. I love Google now. Can't wait for the full version in jelly bean

It was my first time holding the iPhone 5 issue of a case. It is extremely light. Too light. Feels anorexic so light it seems cheap. Quality was really nice though
