I don't think you could go wrong either way; but I have the Grey, and it looks amazing. And I was originally set on getting the white, since my Epic Touch (Galaxy SII) was white.

So, as everyone on this forum knows (lol), that I'm getting my Note 2 soon. I want the LTE version, so I originally had my sister buy it for me from a website in Singapore. Unfortunately, they are out of stock on the grey and do not know when they will be getting it. After tax, the price of their N7105 is around $814 (given the very favorable exchange rate, this is an okay price, but I found one on negrielectronics that's cheaper at around $749, but I think they are US-based, and the grey one is already on backorder).

I don't think I want the white, so I started browsing around. I found out that an online retailer based here is offering the N7105 (and they have grey!) for around $862 or so. Anyway, that's a bit more expensive, and I suddenly remembered that a local coupon site is offering the N7100 for around $624, and that suddenly seems a lot more tempting, especially since the quantity is unlimited and the offer only has 1 day remaining.

So it started me thinking...will I really ever use LTE? I mean, I'm trying to be realistic here. I estimate that I will get around 2-3 years use out of this phone, and reading around here and other forums, it seems that 4G is currently very expensive and that when people migrate to the higher speeds, 3G will be much better for the remaining users. My carrier has just finished rolling out their LTE coverage, so I know I'll be able to use the LTE version here. It's just that I'm wondering if the 4G capability is worth it enough for me to shell out an additional $200 for it.

I need some other perspective to ground me!

LTE is pretty fast. :) but kills battery :/ I think if you don't really need the extra boost in speed and are happy with your 3g speeds then get the cheaper one,I'd keep the LTE one cause I love downloading big things like movies and games.. :p

My one x is better then you one x!!

Rainy day here! Makes me happy! :D
I think I'm gonna open a bottle of wine and watch some movies.

Wynd, the internet speed is really important to you? I prefer a better battery life, so I wouldn't use LTE. Therefore, I'd go with the cheaper one.

I personally wouldn't unless I had my spare charger with me and I really needed to download something.

If 3g is fast enough and you dont do much downloading, id go for it!
As 4g rolls out in UK il b stickin with 3g as, as u say, 3g will get faster and 4g will be very expensive.
Is it a sim-free N2 ur gettin? That would be a huge bonus :)

I'm not sure yet if it's SIM free I'm getting, but I think so. Our carriers here don't really mess around with the phones too much.

My sister said, "just go with the cheaper one" lol

I say you should get the LTE version. I don't have LTE in my area yet (...fingers crossed it happens soon!) But when I travel to cities with LTE I am so impressed with the LTE speeds that when I get back home I feel like my phone is broken for the next fews days until I get used to 3G again. As far as battery life is concerned, why not charge your phone more often. I have a charger at home, both cars, and at work; so I really never have an BIG issue with battery life.
