Thanks mate. Think he has the shell of the netbook at home but its non genuine windows anyway so will it matter, can still boot up.
Just want rid of all the crap wasting the tiny disk space lol.. why cant pcs be like android??? :P

Uninstall any programs that you do not want to free up space. Go to Start>Control Panel>Add or Remove programs. Only remove programs that he has installed. Also, you can trash all Photos, music, video that he might have on the HD to free up space. In addition, you will want to use "System Tools" to defrag and Disk cleamup. It would also be wise to run "Malwarebytes" and "SuperAntispyware" both of which are free. Thats all the simple stuff I can think of.

BTW, I am surprised it booted up fine. The problem is that the old hardrive was set up specifically to run in your other computer. Your new computer is configured with different drivers that control it's hardware and software functions that your old one doesn't have on it (simplistic explanation). Also, the motherboard has to be compatible. It sounds like they were both the same computers which would theoretically work.

Ferrite beads : Their fx is to reduce EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio-frequency interference).
Funk - I would hold off on rooting your phone until you determine if everything is working properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PCs are better than Android IMO. If it's pirated, then it won't give a valid key. Cracks are easy to find with Google. Though I obviously condemn such action, as it is against AC policy. I totally pay for all my software and don't pirate everything.

Yeah, it's weird that it booted up fine. His drivers are probably all for the other machine.

Just cut off the plug thingy Funky. It is just a surge reducer, electromagnetic discharge filter.
