thanks all, and welcome back, shaw-face! so.. my stupid nexus 4 (brand new) decided to upgrade before i had time to root it. and 4.3 security is a lot tighter than 4.2.2... in other words.... im screwed, and stuck with stock, instead of paranoidAndroid.... :'(
