RANT: LG G3 turns off unexpectedly and constantly

Hi everybody I hope you are having a nice day,

Unfortunately I am not.

My AT&T LG G3 is turning off unexpectedly all the ******* time . The two scenarios are: (1) it restarts out of nowhere but turns back on normally (2) it turns off and you can't turn it back on unless i take out the battery, press the power button for a few seconds and re-insert the battery.

So I go on the internet (naturally) and look for an answer. Everybody says "just change the battery". So I did. I went on Amazon and bought two brand new aftermarket batteries. I try them. They work great except they don't change a goddamn thing.

I then try a new OEM LG G3 battery. Works except nothing changes. The phone still turns off or reboots when I need it the most.

I have tried the following:

1. Factory reset the phone
2. Turn off location services
3. Put a piece a paper between the battery and the battery holder
4. Put a piece of tape where the SD is
5. Updated the phone to the latest version (tried LGPCSuite)

NOTHING WORKS! The constant random turning off and resetting has seriously damaged the battery life on all four batteries.

I am getting extremely frustrated with this piece of **** phone. Here I am walking around with 4 batteries in my pocket and I can't even surf the web without the phone turning off. This is bull****!

Run the phone in safe mode for a while. If it still happens in safe mode,then likely a hardware problem. If it does not happen in safe mode, than likely cause is a bad app.

To enter safe mode:

1. With the device turned off, press and hold the Power key.
2. Release the Power key once the LG logo appears, then press and hold the Volume Down key until the device starts up.
3. The device will start up in safe mode.
4. Swipe screen to unlock device.

To get out of safe mode:

• Tap and drag down the Notification bar.
• Tap Safe Mode is On.
• Tap Turn Off Safe Mode.
• The device will reboot into normal mode.

had same issues....did almost everything mentioned above...last thing i did was i brought it to lg service centre and less than 10 minutes the guy there told me it was the hardware..emmc motherboard...would cost me about usd 150 to replace it...so i sold my g3 and bought xiaomi redmi note 4...i really loved my g3 though and it still looked good...barely no scratches...what a shame...many people have same issues about this bootlooping,stuck on logo n restarting endlessly

Hi everybody
I had exactly the same symptoms (LG G3 858)
I disabled NFC - Settings/Networks/Share&Connect/NFC
Slide the knob to Off
I have not had the problem re-occur in the last 48 hours.
If you use your phone to make payments (tap n go) you'll need to turn it on to allow the transaction.

I believe this is an issue in the build software - LG??
