Recently my wall charger (rapid charger) quit working. I'm just barely inside my one year of ownership. I called Google, and they reluctantly sent me a charger for free. Just got the new one today (very nice btw; must go with the Pixel). I plugged it in the wall and phone still didn't charge, at all. While waiting for a new one, I have been charging with the USB-C to USB-A port into my computer. Didn't fast charge but it sufficed.

So, now I'm thinking it may be the phone itself. A short possibly? I never had an issue with a charger before so I'm not sure what is the best solution. What do you guys think---the phone or another bad charger??

Have you rebooted the phone? I lost rapid charging a couple of times, rebooting fixed it.

Oddly enough that happened with my original charger - it just quit charging completely one day out of the blue. So I ordered a replacement from the Google store and when it came in I plugged it and the new cable in and everything worked fine with my phone. Wanting to identify whether it was the original brick or the original cable that was at fault, I plugged the original cable into the new charging block and that worked fine with my phone. Great! Just to be sure, I plugged the new cable into the original charging block and that worked fine with my phone. WTF! I plugged the original cable back into the original charging block and that now worked fine with my phone (and is still working to this day)!

I don't know what it all means in the context of your issue, but it was a weird enough situation that I figured I'd pass it along in case anyone else runs into similar strangeness.

Thank you, gquiring. "You're the man (or woman)." That did work. I don't often reboot. Every two weeks at best. Anyway, I plugged in the old charger today after a reboot, and it worked. Yeah!! I guess I unintentionally have a new wall charger. I chalk it up to "for my troubles." Hopefully, it won't happen again, but if it does, I'll try the reboot first.
