I stopped to checkout the s8 and s8+ dummy units at Walmart last night and i had forgotten how narrow those screens actually are. The plus wasn't too bad but man the s8 is ridiculous.

Just saying it would be LGs chance to differentiate. I suggest there is a lot of people that do not like curved edges or narrow portrait displays. All LG appears to be doing is making an S8 derivative. I suggest more people would take a flat 100% legible display with decent portrait width over a fancy DAC. I find the sound of the S8 to be great already. No fancy DAC needed. Then again, I listen to 192kb MP3 songs, so the DAC is little to no help. Need high KB or lossless to truly leverage the DAC.

My experience has been that the DAC improves all sound files especially with good headphones unless you have something really bad. The sound on the S8 is good but I've tried it and it doesn't compare.... It just doesn't.

A flat display makes the phone look broader. The S8 with the same screen size but due the curves it will definitely be slimmer than a flat screen phone.
