Rattle near camera

My wife just got an HTC 10 and loves it, but something popped up last night that we didn't notice at Verizon when buying it. When you shake the phone, you can hear a click/rattle coming from the camera area, and it's also apparent when the phone vibrates, such as when you get a phone call. No other issues, but I read some people say it's normal and some say it's not. Is this normal, or should I be taking it back for a new one? I've never had rattles from any of my phones before.

I think that's normal. I'll get mine tomorrow and confirm. My Nexus 5x does the same thing. I remember when the 5x first came out people were posting on forums about the rattle and everyone had the same "problem". It's not really a problem, just the sensors in the camera.

It could be the OIS in the camera that is being heard with the rattle near the camera.

It's normal. I forget what it is. Most phones I have had do this. Even my wife's iPhone. Nothing to be concerned about.

Can anyone else comment on whether they hear it or not in their 10? I'm probably going to go to a vzw store and play around with a couple others to hear if it's the sam. Just seems awfully loud compared to anything else.

I had an unlocked model that I sent back for other reasons but the rattle sound did seem loud on it. I have since purchased a Verizon model that does rattle but not as much. It is normally due to OIS and should stop once camera is activated...or maybe not. Mine does not stop once camera is activated but to answer your question, yes, I have had 2 and both rattle. Pretty sure it's normal.

My HTC 10 came in yesterday. I can confirm that I hear the rattle. It's normal. So far everything has been amazing on this phone aside from the front facing camera focusing correctly in Snapchat. It's fine with the regular camera app but doesn't focus at all in Snapchat.
