RAW images to SD card?

When taking pictures using the Pro mode, the phone saves them to internal memory in the Camera folder. When I move these images to the SD card's Camera folder (where non-Pro mode images get stored by default), just the jpg format moves. The dng version stays in internal memory.
Is there any reason these ,dng files need to stay in internal? Or can I move them, using ES File Explorer, to the SD card?
They're beginning to add up to a lot of space internally and I'd love to free it up.

I'm not sure what you mean. There's no reason behind what? Are you saying you don't think there'd be a problem if the ,dng files were moved to the SD card?

You can move the RAW files using any file manager, ES, Explorer in Windows (if the phone is connected to a computer), My Files, etc., etc.
