RAZR M - Keyboard won't display in facebook app

I have had two razr m phones within the past few months (needed to replace my first one) and in both of these phones I have had a problem with the keyboard while I am in the facebook app. Whenever I try to search through my friends list the screen will darken as if the keyboard is about to pop up, but it never does. Any advice on how I might be able to fix this?
