I really should know this but somehow cannot figure it out. Great wallpapers here at Android Central. When I download one I like.. set it as a wallpaper, it terribly loses resolution - nothing like the stock Android wallpapers - what am I doing wrong? Simple silly question, but this one baffles me!
Thanks

The screen resolution is 540(w) x 960(h), so the I usually create my own wallpaper using 1080(w) x 960(h) pixel dimensions for my own personal wallpapers... plus they need to be a fairly good resolution of at least 72dpi (dots per inch), but I really like a higher resolution of at least 300dpi.

How big are the images and what is their resolution?

I download the images - look beautiful when I download them - full screen. But when I go to set them as wallpaper, the system insists on using an orange crop line, and it will not extend to the whole screen. Increasing the space as you suggest will compensate for this? Will it allow me to use the whole image without the ridiculous cropping mechanism?
