RCS fix

The RCS feature of Google messages stopped working on my pixel 4XL. I followed numerous troubleshooting steps and nothing worked. So in desperation I changed out the SIM card at a Verizon corporate store. It fixed the problem. So if all else fails and your RCS is not working replace the SIM card.

By going to a Corporate store, there is no charge. The SIM cards may be more fragile than we know. No one at either Verizon or Google suggested that the SIM might affect the RCS capabilites of my 4xl. Go figure!

Good to hear from you. I've been so busy lately, not much time available for forums anymore.

Had something similar happen after I pinged off a Canadian tower. Had to clear data and cache from carrier services and messages. Did the trick.
