RCS in Android Messages

Google has released RCS in Android Messages in the UK and France. So I enabled Messages on my Pixel 2XL and have been able to use it to chat and send photos to my daughter. My husband doesn't have it enabled but I sent him details by SMS. It is good. Because we currently use Hangouts between us all, but that is being deprecated.

I've got it. I just don't know anyone here still using sms. Everyone is on WhatsApp so RCS feels 6 or 7 years too late. Shame really

I'm waiting for Android Q beta 5 and hopefully that'll fix my RCS messaging.

I seem to have it enabled on my phone here in Canada. Although I read an article that it may be temporary.

In Android ! beta 4, RCS is broken. if You read the Android Q issue tracker, there are a lot of other users are experiencing the same thing.

WhatsApp is the great option for chat and send photos.

You're Right, however I'm such a Googler that of course I'm using the stock need of Google applications for everything. I just can't wait for beta 5 of Android Q and pray to God that my RCS messaging actually works again.
