RCS or Enhanced Messaging

Does this only work between phones on the same carrier? It's working between my wife's S8+ and my Note 8 on Sprint, but not with my friends S8+ on T-Mobile.

So far TMO doesn't support it, even though their parent company does. Hopefully "soon"?

Interesting. My friend said it works between him and another friend both on T-Mobile.

It works TMobile to TMobile. My parents and I all 3 have Note 8s and it works like a dream.


Yes I don't believe it works cross carrier yet... But that's obviously "big picture"

Inter-Carrier rcs/enhanced messaging is not available. It's the same with video chatting.. You can do the features with those on similar network with devices that support it.

When it'll be cross platform is unknown..
