Will the Note 10/10+ have RCS support on either Samsung or Android Messaging apps? Unlocked or carrier branded.

Asking for a friend. ;)

That's more up to your carrier than anything else. It's built in to Google's Messaging apps though.

Lol RCS. The US carriers are awful at this. I'd say don't expect it.. if you do get it be surprised.

I have it on my Note 9, my moms S9 and my dads S10. I think its built into the Samsung messaging app.
No it's not built into the Samsung message app , it's your carrier that's doing it.
Google message app should be doing this soon though.

It requires both carrier and app support.
I definitely agree, but my note 9 on Att or TMobile on unlocked firmware no RCS and when I flash to carrier one it has it , so leads me to believe that Samsung app itself don't support it .

RCS sure seems to be a cumbersome, confusing and disappointing solution to a seemingly simple problem.

I agree, Google supposed to make their messaging app global RCS soon to fix this , but still haven't seen it on my pixel phones , once it happens all my phones will use Google message app. I do like Samsung version a little more but until something changes .

My TMobile has it using the Samsung messaging app, but only when texting someone else on TMobile with the Samsung messaging app. Still, having read receipts and stuff is cool.

It's actually not hard if the carriers just got on board and did it. They just aren't in a hurry because it won't make them extra money.

Yeah and it only works if you and the person you are messaging are using Android messages or Samsung messages on a carrier that is RCS supported.
But that only works if the other person is using an RCS supported app, right?
