There were issues with the original system image that was used to root the phone in the beginning.. It contains traces of Sprint elements since it was ripped from the Sprint version.
There's a new system image based off of the stock Verizon system image called route66..
It involves wiping the phone though.
What I ended up doing with my phone since I was one of the early few who used the Sprint image was... I flashed back the factory stock image.. and then proceeded to root the phone again using route66 just as a precaution to make sure anything Sprint was removed.
