while I'm reading in store, is there a way to pause my reading, do something else and then pick up where I left off without having to still be using my hour. like if I start reading for 30 minutes, is there a way to exit out of the book I'm reading, do something else for say 15 to 30 minutes, then pick up where i left off later and still have the rest of the 30 minutes?

As of right now I've tried just turning off the nook while on the book (not a full power off, just the single press), I've also tried pressing the N button to get out of the book but both ways have resulted in me still loosing the 1 hour even though I'm not actually reading.

is it just one continuous one hour from the moment you open the book? or does anyone know of a way to exit out of the book to sort of pause the one hour limit so i can start reading later

I believe your connection is being timed. Turn off the book completely and you lose the connection and have to start over. Since I have never tried reading in the store, can you note what page you are on and go back to it later by paging forward?

when i close out the book or turn off the nook while on the page, the next day i'll start it back up and it'll automatically be on the page i last left it. one guy in another forum recommended turning off the wifi when im not reading. im wondering if that'll work.

Sounds like it works the same way as with paid books you have downloaded, except you can only read these while in the store. I suppose turning off wifi while you are doing something else will reset the clock, unless the timer is somehow linked to the specific book.
