Read in the sun?

Can you read on this in the sun? or is it hard to see?

very hard to read in the sun. Tried it out on the beach on an overcast day and gave up. the e-Ink that is in the kindle and the basic nook is what you need if you are going to read a book out in the sun.

It works well for me IF I set the screen at max brightness-and I have the antiglare screen protector on it. If I didn't have the screen protector it would be impossible...
