[Read Me First] HTC EVO 3D Tips, Reviews, Thoughts, and Issues

Re: [Read Me First] HTC Evo 3D FAQ's & Tips

So what exactly is your problem? Are you not reaching 100%? Or just not getting good battery life? Need more information...

So I have tried to get the green light following the calibrating technique but every time I get just red and it takes like 15-20 minutes to get the green light afterwards.

The battery does not last longer than 8-10 hours with moderate use.

I too have the same issue with it sticking @ 99%... If you have performed the steps a couple of times then you should be good to go. This is a bug that HTC is going to have to fix. For the moment though you should be fine. If you use a widget you will notice it hangs @ 99% for a while then hits 100% and almost immediately drops back down to 99%.. So for the time being shoot for 99%. Also if you have somewhere to check the mV you can use that to tell when your battery is fully charged...

8 - 10 hours is normal for moderate usage

Thanks. I loved my Palm Pre for many of the reasons you addressed. This may make the transition bearable. I was tired of waiting on the HP Palm 3 (as I was sure I was going to get it when it FINALLY arrived.)

I tried step (10a)...i can say that it's been the first time that i've seen the battery percentage on 100% on the battery widget since i got the phone on 6/24.......i hope this really works

y does my ph lose power while charging

The phones have a protection mechanism for ensuring that the battery does not over charge/ over heat... What this does is when your phone hits 100% it immediately starts discharging the battery. It will discharge (5%-10% cant remember exactly) and then start to charge again. If you have this problem when you are not on a full battery i.e. 50% than you either have a bad charger or are using a charger that does not have enough output power.
