Read out text messages just says “new message”

[Android Central Question]

I used to be able use voice command to read out text messages. Now, all I get is “”new Message”

I’m using 7 edge thru AT&T

I really need this feature to work while I’m driving to receive messages on location changes without have to stop my car or touch my phone!!
