First off, I know that there is a section for rooting, this part is more traveled thus I want the probability of getting an answer to go up...

Second. I did all the reading I am going to do. I have been on numerous websites to which most write their methods in a way I am not understanding.

So,

Do I need to add SDK in any way to the phone or computer?

Super user or SU... where do I find this, is it an APK i need to add?

do I need to add something on the SD card... what is it?

how do I get into bin or whatever I need to get into?

I formatted the SD card to FAT32, would this be wrong?

I have been trying to run unrevoked3 for the last day, and I keep getting stuck in the same place.... as soon as the phone reboots, the rooting programing says that I have a communication error and then the phone shows a black screen with green words.

Is there something I can manually do while in this black screen with green text?

I can't for the life of me figure out how people are simply plugging in their phone and the damn think roots with no problem... I have DLed ever thing I was directed to DL.... any help would be appreciated, and if you just want to spam or troll do it in a PM so that I get it and the ones that want to help or are having these problems, can read helpful comments and not pick thru the spam....

thanks for moving this genius.... guess you didn't read why I put it where I put it....

I am noticing through ADB that I do not have SU. it tells me permission denied... any thoughts on how to get this permission?

I got the root to work finally. The problem was the drivers.... for those who might be having this issue... make sure the debugging mode is on and plug the phone into the computer, once their go to your device manager. Look to see if the MY HTC heading shows up near the top... if so, uninstall those drivers, make sure to check the box that comes up to...it gets rid of the driver.... then plug the phone back in and point the installation to the drivers from unrevoked... and viola! No more hang up, no more communication errors...
