Real World Battery Use Results...

Like stated before not sure why they couldn't make a phone 1-2mm thicker and almost double the battery life. Seems like a no brainer to me.

Because that's not the way it works. Just because the razr and razr maxx work that way doesnt mean all phones do. This phone puts the battery in a completely different place than the razr. It also uses completely different screen tech and internals. So there's no way anyone could know that a bigger battery would have only resulted in 1-2mm.

But anyway, back to thread topic.
My battery is awesome. I wake up and take it off the charge at 645 and when I go to bed around 1 I usually have about 75-80% charge left. I couldn't ask for more with this phone.

That is insane. Do you go to bed at noon? :D Or just not a lot of overall screen time? Wow

I'm in lectures from 8-3 and work from 5 -10 five days a week. So my screen on time is very very low haha like 30 mins or less a day. That and I only have one account that syncs which is gmail.

Ah. Makes sense now. I have found the battery to be quite good for my own use as well.

Have had the DNA for about 5 days now. Spent the whole day in the operating room, constant WiFi and def always searching for a signal and got just about 11 hrs out of it DEF as good as I ever got from my S3

Something I've come to notice. Phone manufactures seem to be very focused on making phones as thin/light as possible where they will sacrifice putting in larger batteries just to save 1-2mm. I know I wouldn't mind an extra 1-2mm but there seems to be a larger group that would mind that extra size which seems to have swayed HTC decision. For all I know, I could be wrong. I don't have much info to back that up. Heck, HTC may come out with "HTC DNA + Extra II Kapow!!!" Or even call it the HTC RNA, or "HTC Mitochondria", with larger battery, internal memory & SD slot. But it seems "Thinnest/Lightest Phone" is the flavor of the year right now, where everyone is trying to hold that crown.

Ya I've noticed that but in reality when I had my razr that phone felt to thin like I could snap it like a potatoe chip. So anyone going to talk about screen on time?

after one week of use and tweaking with sync setting, I finally was able to get the battery result I want. Off charger for 14 hours and I still had 62% left. However this is with somewhat light use of the phone with 8 hours in the office connected to Wi-Fi.. Just mostly emails a few text, facebook, foursquare etc. For me, this is more than ok.

I've only had my DNA for a couple of days now but I've been getting about 14-15hrs of what I feel is moderate usage. I'm almost only on wi-fi with the screen set to auto-brightness, How are some of you getting well over a days usage? Are there settings I should be changing or power-saving apps?

I have had my DNA sense the day before it was released.....
