AC Question

I rooted my nexus 5, got twrp and was trying out different roms, i settled on cataclysm and tried to theme it using layers manager when I tried to use a ported cm theme. My phone's system ui crashed and kept crashing, i decided to switch to dirty unicorns but first had to get latest twrp, i did so, but, while flashing it from older twrp, something went wrong and my recovery did not get installed while old one got wiped. so now my recovery does not boot and just that google logo shows. I already wiped my system, data, dalvik chache and cache but have my internal storage, although i do not have an operating system. I can only access the bootloader, but that's it. My dad will kill me if he finds out I wrecked my phone, any way to recover? please, please help.

Mod Note, I will move this to the n5 forum for more visibility

Okay, this is the person who posted that above, if anybody else has this problem or something else like it, even on another nexus, here's the solution:-
1) Download Nexus Root Kit
2) Let it install and start
3) Select the device and, for OS, select the last option, which says "any build" etc.
4) Don't touch anything else, just select unroot+flash stock
5) Now just click okay
6) Now just wait, I recommend you play some games on your computer, helps to relax the mind and is a good time-pass as the process will take some time. I recommend the useless web, miniclip and friv
7) DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING, AND DON'T EVEN THINK OF CLOSING ANY WINDOWS RELATED TO THE PROCESS
8) After some time, you might notice your Nexus starts showing that Google sign, now wait (the first boot might take more than 20 minutes)
9) Now, just set up the info etc. and you're ready to go.
NOTE: THIS WILL WIPE ALL YOUR DATA, INCLUDING INTERNAL STORAGE AND UNROOT YOUR PHONE, IF YOU THINK THAT'S TOO MUCH TO ASK , YOU'RE FREE TO FIND SOMETHING ELSE.

Hope this works, best of luck:)

This didn't work for me. It says e can't mount /cache/recovery/command trying to resolve this for the last 2 days.

Can somebody help?

did you have adb drivers installed??
if you didn't then that would probably happen, look for minimalistic adb drivers on xda forums

now connect your phone to the computer via usb cable and open the command window that should be on your desktop or, alternatively open the folder where the adb drivers are installed and then shift+right click and select open command window here.
then type adb devices, it should show something along the lines of *starting daemon server* and then show a number.
Even if it only shows *starting daemon server, try the steps given above
