Rearth case or elago?

Using the elago g6 slim case in indigo blue. Goes nicely with the white and the soft touch feels great in the hand while providing extra grip. The rearth case is very similar from what I can tell from pictures. Haven't used it personally so can't really give an opinion.

Thanks for the response im going back and forth between these two...im leaning towards the elago but im concerned about reviews saying that it is hard to hold on to because it id slippery

I believe theres different finishes depending on color. The indigo blue comes in a soft touch which I opted for to get more grip. The white case comes in a more slippery finish if I remember correctly. The black I'm not quite sure.

Yeah black is soft feeling and white isn't

I have the Rearth case and while it's not bad, it doesn't fit all that snugly and has a tendency to flex and creak when using the phone. It's not horrible but it is noticeable. I've stopped using it until I can find something else.

Alot of the reviews say it doesn't fit as snug as possible

I was thinking of getting the soft feel white rearth as well but I heard it easily gets stained from jean dyes, etc. Now that I think back, that's why I went with the indigo elago.

I have the white Rearth case and it fits beautifully. I don't think it's going to protect my N4 in a fall tho. I alternate it with a black rubber case.

Im going rearth but white or black? is the question ..my note is titanium Grey

I have a Rearth Slim case in white. It isn't very slippery for the most part.

After handling for a while, it can become a bit easier to slide out of your hands. But being as careful as I am, I haven't dropped it due to a "slippage".

I love the slim form of the case. Some people have expressed their case not fitting properly. Mine fits and has no movement at all within the case.

I had the rearth for my Gnex and it worked out but started to cracked on the edges. I now have the black Elago case on my gn2 in titanium Grey and I love it. Perfect fit and protects the corners and backing

I am using the black Elago g6 slim case on my Galaxy Note 2 in titanium Grey. Fits perfect, great feel, easy to hold. I have not used the Rearth so I can't sepak for that one, but an very pleased with the Elago and would recommend.

I have a question - I have a taupe/grayish colored Elago g6 slim case. I also have Otterbox Commuter, Rinke Slim, 2 Samsung cases, 3 Samsung flip cases and a Mercury on the way (I'm a gal, and I like changing it up).

What exactly is the Elago and Rinke protecting the phone from? IE - how are they "better" than no case at all? Is it just scratch protection?

Of all the cases, of course, the Commuter is the one that I feel would protect the screen the best in the event of an accidental drop.

With all the threads on various forums about the "best" case for the phone, one person's best seems to be different for someone else's best. I guess as I get in these cases, it's the Rinke and the Elago that other than scratch protection, I find myself thinking - how is the case better than naked, as far as overall phone protection? I'm not even convinced there's enough lip on them to shock absorb a face down drop.

Just wondering if I'm missing something?

I think my next case purchase will be this one: Rotating Series Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Flip Leather Cases N71 | DSstyles

White is very slippery. It looks nice but I have almost dropped it twice in 1 day, that was enough for me. I ended getting the black and it was better, but the fit sucks, so because of that I would pass on the Rearth.

This was made possible by my note II baby!

I have the Rearth Ringke Slim and I am not all that happy with it. the edges are sharp, it is not snug on the sides and it is almost as slick as the phone itself. I have never dropped a phone before and I have had the Note 2 slip out of my hands twice with this case on (and of course, it landed both times on the top section that offers zero protection.) I am also not thrilled that they could not make a separate case for the US market for the phones that do not use the retractable antenna.

I wanted a nice thin case...and well, I got it. If I was going to go this route again, I would go with the Quicksand ROCK case for less chance that it would slip out of my hand.

I have gone the other direction, I just ordered the Otterbox commuter case for when I am out in the field on assignment or out and about. I will leave the thin snap on case on while at work or piddling around the house.
