Reason why LG G3 charges slowly...

I forgot to charge my phone, and plugged it I this morning at 8:37. At the time battery was at 18%. I unplugged it at 9:52 it was at 99%! I put it on airplane mode for so it would charge more quickly. 1hr 15 mins is still pretty darn quick!

I just went from 50% to 71% in 33 minutes. I don't really know how good that is but I know these batteries charge faster under 50 or 60% due to the technology. I will have to test from 10%.

This doesn't surprise me... I have to say that LG doesn't focus much quality resourcing into it's chargers. Our household has had 4 LG devices (2 Nexus 4's, my G3 and also the official Nexus 4 Qi charger from the play store). On the qi charger and one of the N4's phones the plug started buzzing and almost clicking when plugged in without the phone charging. The noise was so loud I stopped using them out of fear that they were defective. I'm not an expert but to me the build feel does feel a bit cheap too.

That being said I am pleasantly surprised at how quickly my new G3 phone charges. At work the other day I was able to go from 10% to 70% in about a half hour.

So, how long is "forever"? Mine took about an hour and a half when drained. You do not want to apply more amps than it is rated for as you will not only have the chance of damaging your battery, but also have a chance of catching the device on fire. THere are plenty of horror stories out there regarding this topic. My 2 cents. Take 'em or leave 'em.

I used to use all 2.4 Amp with charge only cables and never had any issues.

hi since i flashed cm13 (before that with 5.1 resurrection remix rom all was ok) take a very long time to charge, i tried lots of ac chargers and cables combinations but nothing seems to work: from 2.0A to 0.7A . The only thing work was the xiaomi powerbank (10000mah, 5v, 2A) .
Someone can explain me this? thanks
