Reboot in applications manager

Not sure what I have done, but every time I go into the applications manager in settings and try to delete a app it automatically reboots shortly after I get into the applications manager section.

Any ideas what might be causing this, and if so, is there any easy fix without having to perform a factory reset?

Thanks in advance!!!

The Note II was released on 8/2012, so it's almost 4 years old. It wouldn't be that unusual for things to start going funky at this age.

I have a note 5 also. I just use the note 2 at home using wi-fi to cast movies to my tv. Like I said before, this didn't happen until I installed an app, which I probably shouldn't have.

Thanks for helping me though. I'll probably do a master reset on it while I'm on vacation next week.

My apologies.

It's a possibility, but I would think there would be bigger issues than what I have if it was malicious, but I could be wrong.

I installed a 3rd party app and was able to get into application manager but the app that I think caused it isn't showing installed.

Malicious apps don't necessarily have to steal all of your data or plaster embarrassing things all over your screen. Sometimes they just make your phone buggy. Or it might just be a very poorly coded app that is inadvertently causing problems with the phone.

Did you install this app from the Play Store, or did you download it as an apk file and install it manually?
