My galaxy s7 gets very hot then goes into a cycle where it continually reboots. I have to hold the volume and power button and do a hard shut down. I'm trying to do a factory reboot but it keeps rebooting. Anyone have this happen?

If it's getting hot before it even starts up it's either a processor issue or, most likely, a battery one... You shouldn't be using it until you get it checked out.

it heats up immediately. I called Samsung and they told me to do the factory reset. that didn't work... it's still doing it.

Yup, that's hardware heating up. Either a processor overloading, a short circuit somewhere, or (again, most likely) a battery going bad. Most repair shops will be able to test out a spare battery and try to see if it doesn't heat up that way (or spot something glaring like a burnt element or something).

Has it gotten wet lately? That could also be a possible scenario and would explain why it won't boot and heats up (also probably means more extensive hardware damage, unfortunately).
