Recalibrate accelerometer for certain apps

In Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, instead of moving the tablet to the left or right, i have to move it to the front or back, which is quite annoying. Is there a way to recalibrate the accelerometer just for a certain app? Thanks.
PS. Even if i have to calibrate it and recalibrate it after leaving the game, it would be much better than i have rigt now.
