I have had the TB since the first day it was released and since day one, I have had the issue with the data being inconsistent/not staying connected for more than minutes at a time. Throughout the day, regardless of what I was doing on the device and where I was located (3g only areas and 4g areas) I would lose data connectivity, sometimes for seconds and sometimes for minutes.
Hung in there since I was assured the update pushed by Verizon would make the transition on the device from 3g to 4g seamless, but the problem continues 2 days after installing the update. At home (per the coverage map I am surrounded by 4g) I have no data at all, outside of home, its better but never stays on...data always turns on and off.
The OTA didn't fix it
Several exchanges and SIM cards (all before the update) didn't fix it
Checking always on/data roaming didn't fix it
Changing the signal to CDMA only didn't fix it
Performing a reset/wipe clean on the phone (before and after the update) didn't fix it
Any other suggestions? I like this device but thinking of exchanging it...might anyway since I'm actually moving to a 3g only town anyway in about 3 months. Just wonder if anyone had the issue before the update, installed it and continued to have the issue. With all due respect, I'm losing faith in this device.
