It broke my data settings(APN's) by changing to a h2o apn that I no longer use and it also deleted my current data provider apn (tracfone) Luckily I had all that info screen captured so I was able put it back in quickly.

Before I downloaded it gave a link to their website to see the release notes. I can't quite find anything in regards to the update.

Brand new Zenfone2 arrived today and right out of the box, requested to perform system update. When it was complete, the ph can't detect the SIM anymore. Geez.

I would try reseating the SIM card and then starting the phone over again

Your provider may require a fee to transfer phones. I have MetroPCS and had to pay a $25 fee to activate my sim card in the ZF2.

After this update, my zenfone 2 occationally reboots on it own and the quick tools in the notification drawer cause the system ui to crash.

Mine has rebooted three times since the update, and once the screen became unresponsive and I had to reboot to get it back. And I, too, had to reset my settings to my preferences. First time I've been disappointed in one of their updates.

Check your APN settings, and use the auto detect for the carrier your SIM uses. It should be ok after that.

how long does it takes for the phone to turn back on? it's been almost an hour that it rebooted and the installation started but it has not booted yet.

I just click the power button and it continued. weird. maybe it shutdowns the first

My last update also shut down the phone and I had to press power button to get the process started. Strange. Never had a phone do that.

As phone is ringing, hold phone in portrait mode and lift to touch the ear to answer the phone.

We were asking for an alternate way to answer the phone.

Just got the new update and it didn't fix a ****in thing. System ui still crashes when you tap a quick tool in the quick settings panal.
