Recent Apps Close Button Delay

Hello,

I've recently migrated from a Samsung Galaxy S6 to a Pixel 2 and noticed a difference in the Recent Apps feature in which the close buttons (X) appear after a delay of about 2 seconds. Is there any way to remove this delay so the close buttons appear immediately?

Not way that I'm aware of. You can still swipe them away before the X appears. But yes, the delay annoys me, too.

Thank you for the response. Ok, I wasn't aware that you could swipe them to the side. Not sure what the point is of the delay, but the swiping should suffice. Thanks!
