Recharging the Infuse

My Infuse will charge the battery to 100% when I use the Samsung cable and wall charger that came with it. However, using aftermarket chargers and cables, it will not charge.

The Samsung wall charger is rated at 5V 0.8 watts. One aftermarket wall charger I tried was rated at 5V 1.0 watts but still didn't charge the phone.

Is there something special about the cable itself that Samsung supplies?

The majority of the time I use my kindle charger and cable and it charges fine. I also have a Belkin charger that works fine.

I have a Rocketfish car charger I got from BestBuy when I got my Infuse. It charges completely.

A lot of times is the connector itself. I have two or three chargers that if I wiggle the usb connector just right, the contacts will contact.

Yes, it must be the cheap aftermarket cable....I connected the Samsung cable to an aftermarket wall charger and it charged the phone just fine. I'll buy some more cables--they're cheap enough--and continue to experiment.
