I have a Nvidia Shield but I want something to set up as an airplay receiver using either AirScreen / AirPlay or similar App that has either Optical or AV out which the Shield doesn't have.
I've tested what I want to do with the Shield and it works really well with virtually no latency between watching a music video on a portable device but streaming the music through a HiFi system but I'm not sure if that's because the Shield is quite powerful or if it'd be pretty much the same with any Android box set up.
I'm tempted with the Xiaomi Mi Box S as they have a good reputation and also have Chromecast built in which is something I'd ideally like but they seem quite "dated " now and they don't have an optical out just 3.5mm although that's not a deal breaker.
If anybody has any recommendations ... ideally the "new" equivalent to the Mi Box would be much appreciated!
