How's it compared to the (stock) Samsung browser?

Same to me, slightly faster.

Really want t stop using chrome as it often feels like legalised spyware. Trouble is that it is imo the best and not just on android (imo)

I am currently however trying opera, available on desktop too so syncs nicely. Like the desktop version just not sure about the android or iOS effort.

Samsung browser 100%. It's faster than Chrome and less of a memory hog. Plus you can install the Samsung extension on your desktop browser to sync your chrome bookmarks with the Samsung browser. You also get to use Samsung Pass for all your web logins, so no more typing just fingerprint or iris scan.

I use firefox but will switch to the samsung browser after reading all the replies and test it out

Samsung browser. The only reason is because you can use biometrics for all your passwords.

Yes Samsung has a chrome extension for this... Go to Samsunginternet.com and it'll redirect to it's app on the chrome web store.

I usually just use Chrome, but this time around I've found myself using the stock browser. It's not half bad and has some pretty neat extensions.
