Recommendations for a phpne/dialer app to replace the stock Samsung version.

I would suggest using the stock dialer from Google. As I am on OnePlus 5 and previously been on Moto, never had any issues. Pretty stock in both.

I think google dialler only works on Google phones and maybe a few others.

moto Z2 play and Google dialer. tested most of mentioned above but installed and native Google dialer and contacts doing best job. and also work without any problems with Microsoft launcher.

I was able to install it on my GS9+ without problems.

You're right, and I was mistaken. Contacts works, but not Phone. Sorry for steering you in the wrong direction!

I had never heard of it before this thread and I really love it. I have replaced my default google phone dialler with it and it is really excellent. I highly recommend it

I use the Google dialer from xda. I totally get why you don't like the stock dialer, every since the changed the favorites is just not good

I'm not a fan of the Samsung phone app and I am hoping that I can get some recommendations for a replacement. I tried installing the apk for the Google Phone app that comes with the Pixel 2, but the installation attempts always failed.

I use truecaller, and like it alot. Love knowing unidentified callers at a glance.

I mentioned Truecaller earlier in the thread. It does have some issues, like uploading all your contacts to the cloud and those people suddenly getting a load of spam calls...

Stock Samsung dialer auto dials a phone number in recent calls if you swipe from left to right. Horrible design, as Google uses swipe to move to the next tab in the app. Unable to disable or change the functionality.

I hate Samsung Dialer app. Sometimes I cannot hang the phone up because the icon is blinking on and off. I have to wait till they hang up.

Please tell me of a alternative because it is bugging the heck out of me. I'm considering upgrading to the S10 coming out in late February or March and I hope that new phone doesn't have a problem.

I'm in the same situation.
The Samsung dialer is missing plenty of features and I find it super unfriendly and unproductive.

Ideally I'd install Google Dialer, but it unfortunately seems this app is blocked for the Samsung Galaxy phones.

I think I'll install the Asus dialer, because I liked it when I had my Zenfone.
