Record voice mail message Verizon

I have a severe hearing problem right now that prevents me from hearing my messages. I'm trying to use the record message to change my greeting. The option to record a new message appears to work until the message UNABLE TO SAVE MESSAGE appears. I cannot use the Verizon app. Does anyone know what could be blocking the recording of the message? Thanks

Actually, my hearing problem is so severe, I'm scheduled for a Cochlear Implant. I can't communicate by phone at all.
The phone settings have a section for voice mail under VOICEMAIL GREETINGS,that has a RECORD YOUR Greeting. When I press RECORD A GREETING, it prompts you to record your greeting. When I attempt to SAVE, is when I get the error message.
I'm wondering if it's Verizon or the maybe something to do with Call Screening
 
I tried Safe Mode but the only difference was that The SAVINGS messages took about 60 seconds, and then returned the message SORRY FOR SOME REASON THE MESSAGE COULDN'T BE SAVED. Any other suggestions?
 
You've already talked to Verizon about this? Voicemail is controlled by the carrier, not the phone, so it could be a problem on their end.

That's what I was afraid of. Control through the phone settings would have solved my problem because I'm practically deaf for the time being, and understanding the verbal prompts would not have been a problem. I guess I'll just have to live with it a little longer.
