Recovery mode

So I've always like to do any cache wipes from the recovery menu. On samsung it was always hold home+power+volume up, but the V20 I don't know. According to one sit I found it hold power+volume down until lg logo appears, release for a second then repress same buttons until menu popped up but every time I try to do it all it does is reset my default apps.. Kinda annoyed, not gonna lie.

Search for the thread I started. It works for Verizon. I tried to cut and paste here but it wouldn't work.
